Service Description: Representation from various sectors of childcare community (non-profit childcare, commercial childcare, nursery school programs, programs for children with special needs, family resource centres) to support high level education.

Licensed Child Care Programs:
  • support high level of care and education for children and families
  • supported through observations of program, professional learning opportunities for educators and supervisors, with on going self-reflection and goal setting
  • receive resources and personal contact from Quality First Consultant on a regular basis

For Parents:
  • initiative within Halton dedicated to supporting early childhood programs in developing the level of care and education offered to children and their families
  • Quality First Consultants and participating centres work together to identify quality improvement processes and actions that will positively affect children, families, and early childhood professionals
  • executed over a 3.5 year period with annual maintenance
