Service Description: 5-bed transitional housing with a maximum capacity of 10 * short-term housing and supports for Aboriginal women experiencing crisis and their children * counselling, meals, social and recreational activities, emergency transportation, and referrals to transitional or longer-term housing and supports

Provides referrals to The Niagara Regional Native Centre * referral programs include:
  • healing and wellness
  • health outreach
  • life long care
  • three fires justice program
  • literacy and basic skills
  • O-GI employment unit
  • Aboriginal healthy babies/healthy children
  • community action program for children (0-6yrs)
  • prenatal nutrition program (0-6months)
  • Akwe: GO (7-12yrs)
  • Wasa-Nabin (13+yrs)
  • youth program (14-29yrs)
  • Aboriginal child and youth wellness program

In-home services include:
  • cultural teachings
  • cultural sensitivity
  • talking circles
  • crisis intervention
  • peer counseling
  • one-on one support
  • advocacy
  • information and educational workshops
  • life skills and life coaching
  • housing help
  • income assistance
  • addictions counseling and mental health referrals

Fees: Fee for service * most services covered
