Service Description: A nonprofit organization that raises money and allocates funds locally to support its community.

A fundraising agency to provide funds to meet vital community needs. Ensures donations are spent efficiently and effectively in response to current and emerging human services needs of the community. Promotes the development of needed community services. Generates community support and commitment for United Way and its participating organizations. Provides organizational support services to voluntary organizations in the community.

United Way Niagara Falls and Greater Fort Erie also provides operational management of the Niagara Prosperity Initiative projects by conducting a Request for Proposal (RFP), administering contracts and monitoring project delivery. Also provide technology and communication supports and handle the logistical and administrative needs of the Niagara Poverty Reduction Network to help this community initiative run smoothly.
